Grace Welcomes New Director of Strategic Communications

Christina Hultholm has been appointed Grace’s Director of Strategic Communications. Christina comes to Grace with over a decade of experience in independent school communications and currently serves as Director of Communications at City and Country School (C&C).
She will begin at Grace on January 1, after spending the fall helping to transition the new Principal at C&C. Prior to Christina’s arrival, Assistant Director of Communications Elena Natale will lead Grace’s communications efforts this fall as Interim Director of Communications.

In her current role, Christina works closely with all members of the community, including students, faculty, families, and Board members. Throughout her time at the school, she has focused on building relationships and creating cross-departmental collaboration to revitalize and streamline internal and external messaging. She also partnered with the Head of School to design a dynamic strategic planning and implementation framework, a topic about which she is deeply passionate and on which she has presented at national and state-wide conferences. She is eager to bring her experience and expertise in communications and strategy to Grace.

“I’m thrilled that Christina is joining us at Grace,” says Head of School Robbie Pennoyer. “Her mix of smarts, skills, experience, and values made her a stand-out candidate and a great match for the needs of our school. I’ve enjoyed working with her already, and I’m excited to welcome her to Grace full-time in January.”

Of her appointment, Christina notes, “I am delighted to be joining Grace, and I look forward to getting to know everyone who makes up this very special community. Grace’s emphasis on the interconnectedness of intellectual rigor with respect for the fundamental human dignity really resonates with me, and I am excited to see the many ways this value is lived throughout the school’s program and its people. I am honored to be part of helping Grace live and share its mission, and I am thrilled to be joining this wonderful community.”

Christina holds a B.A. from NYU and a masters degree from Princeton University, where she studied game theory and international political economy. She credits her graduate experience for building her theoretical and empirical research skills, which she uses across her communications practices. “I like to ask questions, to look for new ways to collect data, and to examine approaches from multiple perspectives. But I don’t do it alone. Collaboration is so important to my work, and I look forward to building meaningful partnerships across the school community.”

In her spare time, Christina is active in her community, serving as Chair of her town’s Zoning Board. She volunteers for Princeton and has held numerous roles there, including as a member of the Alumni Council Executive Committee and Board of the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni. She lives in Lawrenceville, NJ, with her husband, Aurélien, a physicist at Princeton University.
