Grace Ambassadors

The Grace Student Ambassadors represent a wonderful cross-section of our community. Whether leading tours, creating films for social media, or speaking on Zoom panels, the Student Ambassadors always bring their expertise to bear and have engaging stories to share. With a wide range of interests and backgrounds, they are the "on-the-ground" experts of life as a student at Grace. They are thrilled to answer any questions you have.
 
Our Parent Ambassadors offer expert perspective on our community as current Grace parents. They have unique experiences and participate in our community as tour guides, representatives in the Parents Association, class reps, or chaperones on field trips. Some are newer to Grace and some have been Grace parents since their children started Junior Kindergarten. Regardless, they are ready to share their wealth of experience to answer any questions you have.

Student Ambassadors

  • Lilly '29

    Favorite thing about Grace: Even though Grace is very academic, it is also fun and a good atmosphere. Grace takes a great academic approach while still being a comfortable place for everyone!
    Favorite subjects: English and dance. Ms. Aidnoff, the 8th grade English teacher is funny and makes class enjoyable for everyone. 
    Clubs: I am in Pop Band.
    What extracurricular activities are you involved in?: I have played volleyball for grace since 7th grade. I have become a much better player. 
    What is one fun fact about you?: I love to sing and have performed many times at school.

    What extracurricular activities are you involved in?: Volleyball for grace, basketball and tennis outside of school
    What is one fun fact about you?: I have moved to three different states across the US and I can relate to starting somewhere new! I have lived in New York, Florida, and Utah.

    Favorite subjects: Math, history, P.E., and art. I love math and history because they are fun and challenging. I love P.E. and art because they provide a brain break. 
    Clubs: Model UN and Lego Robotics. I like that these clubs have after-school competitions.

    Enjoyable Family Activities: Traveling, adventurous sporting activities, watching musicals, and eating dinner as a family

    Involvement in Grace: Class Representative, Co-Chair for Spirit Day, Picture Day, and Run of the Show for the Auction Benefit as well as volunteering for many of the fun events for our kids
    Enjoyable Family Activities: We enjoy being outdoor together, playing sports, or bike riding, but we also enjoy exploring NYC musicals, plays, and museums.

    Why Grace: It was really the tour that sold us on what Grace had to offer. Smiling children, friendly parents, engaging teachers...so impactful on our decision to apply.
    Involvement in Grace: This is my third year giving tours to prospective families. I have enjoyed being a class rep when my daughter was in the 1st and 2nd grades, as well as this past year when my son was in JK.
    I have co-chaired the Lower School Breakfast as well as assisted with various events as a volunteer - notably the Auction Benefit, Holiday Shopping, and May Fair, among others. This year, I am particularly looking forward to serving as a member on Grace's Institutional Culture Committee, focusing on the school's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and antiracism.
    Enjoyable Family Activities: We love to travel - regularly making trips to see family in Pittsbugh, St. Louis, and Orlando. Recently, hiking has become popular in our household, and we try to find opportunities to escape the city and enjoy fresh air and nature whenever we can.

    Why Grace:
    What we love about Grace is the consistency of the community.  Families and administration are welcoming, supportive, encouraging and helpful.  The school offers many opportunities for students and parents alike to learn and grow in classrooms and social groups.  There is a real sense of safety with the school and its staff as they have exhibited care in sensitive matters whether they be public or private.
    Involvement in Grace:
    I am and have been involved in a few ways within the community from assisting with tours, co-chairing events, being a longstanding member of the FOC affinity group, serving on the Institutional Culture Committee, assisting with the yearly auction and more.
    Enjoyable Family Activities:
    What we love to do as a family are play board games, video games, movie nights, family vacations, taking in a show, family night out which involves a big dinner and more.
